Every fall, our crews get Colonial Ford ready for the season ahead. We cut back ornamental grasses, prune shrubs, and prepare the landscape so every plant has the best possible start heading into a New England winter. Consistent care of the plants, turf, and beds throughout the year is what sets the stage for a landscape that comes back beautiful and thriving once the warmer months return.
Take a look at the transformation below. The “before” photo was taken just a month after a harsh 2025 winter, when the landscape still looked dull and dormant. But that fall cleanup had done its job protecting the roots below the surface, so all it took was a little spring cleanup to bring it back. The “after” photo, taken in July 2026, shows the results: a landscape in full bloom, kept that way by our teams visiting throughout the month to keep the turf and planting beds looking their best and growing strong.
Spring Cleanup
As winter fades, our crews return to open the landscape back up. This is when dormant roots start working hard again to push out new blooms. It’s also when the first round of fertilization begins, an integral step for turf growth and health throughout the year. Everything gets pruned and tidied for the new season, and we finish with a fresh layer of mulch spread across the property, giving it a clean, polished look right out of the gate.
Lawn Mowing & Bed Maintenance
