A Year-Round Showcase of Seasonal Beauty in Plymouth, MA

The Stone Bridge is one of the most recognizable and welcoming landmarks in The Pinehills community. It greets residents and visitors alike with a vibrant, ever-changing display that reflects the rhythm of the New England seasons. Our team at Egan Landscape Group is proud to design, install, and maintain each seasonal transformation — ensuring the bridge remains a living piece of art that blooms all year long.

About the Bridge Structure

The Stone Bridge’s thoughtful design makes it a perfect canvas for seasonal plantings. Each side of the bridge features two large, deep containers that act as natural “pots,” allowing for layered plantings and deep root growth. These built-in beds create a sturdy foundation for flowers, specimen trees, and seasonal arrangements to flourish throughout the year.

An automated irrigation system ensures the displays receive consistent watering, even during the hottest summer days, while our team provides routine pruning and maintenance to keep everything in perfect form. The structure itself — a beautifully crafted stone passage with timeless character — enhances the charm of the displays, making it a true centerpiece of The Pinehills landscape.

Spring & Summer Displays

As winter fades, the Stone Bridge bursts to life with colorful spring and summer plantings. We incorporate vibrant annuals, perennials, and specimen trees that thrive under the summer sun while maintaining their structure and bloom well into the fall.

Each display is thoughtfully designed to complement the bridge’s architecture and surrounding scenery — balancing color, texture, and height to create a dynamic visual experience. These plantings not only enhance curb appeal but also celebrate the beauty of the warmer seasons at The Pinehills.

Fall Transformation

As the air turns crisp and the colors shift, our team transitions the bridge from summer vibrancy to autumn warmth. The spring and summer flowers are carefully removed and replaced with a rich palette of fall favorites like mums, ornamental cabbages, kale, and grasses.

These plantings bring depth, texture, and a cozy, seasonal charm that fits perfectly with New England’s fall atmosphere. We design the displays to blend natural elements — rustic tones, layered foliage, and long-lasting blooms — that remain beautiful through the changing weather.

Halloween at The Stone Bridge

Each October, the Stone Bridge becomes a centerpiece of community celebration with our pumpkin carving display. Our team hand-selects and carves pumpkins with a mix of classic designs and creative patterns — everything from traditional jack-o’-lanterns to intricate, themed carvings.

Once carved, the pumpkins are arranged throughout the bridge’s planters and railings, nestled among fall flowers and seasonal greenery. In the evenings, soft lighting brings the display to life — creating a warm, welcoming glow that draws in passersby and celebrates the Halloween spirit in a tasteful, artistic way.

Below, you’ll find videos and pictures of our pumpkin display for 2025. Take a look!

Winter & Holiday Displays

When the colder months arrive, our team transforms the Stone Bridge once again — replacing fall flowers with evergreens, winterberry, and strong plants that bring structure and life through the winter.

To celebrate the holidays, the bridge becomes a beacon of cheer. We adorn it with string lights, a Christmas tree, fresh wreaths, ribbons, and garlands, creating a festive scene that brightens even the shortest winter days. Each detail is chosen to complement the bridge’s natural stone and preserve its timeless beauty while reflecting the warmth of the season.

Year-Round Maintenance

Behind every display is ongoing care. Our team maintains the Stone Bridge through every season with:

  • Regular pruning and grooming to maintain plant health and structure
  • Irrigation monitoring to ensure proper watering and efficiency
  • Seasonal changeovers that keep the displays fresh and relevant
  • Attention to detail that ensures the bridge always looks its best

This consistent maintenance ensures that the Stone Bridge remains a stunning and ever-evolving symbol of The Pinehills’ beauty — no matter the season.
