From Grass to Garden

Expanding the yard’s edge into a vibrant planting bed

What was once a simple stretch of lawn is now a vibrant planting bed bursting with color and texture. By extending the garden’s edge with perennials, shrubs, and ornamental grasses, we created a natural transition from turf to blooms that feels both welcoming and timeless. This transformation shows how even a small expansion can bring a big impact to a landscape.

Scope of Work

To bring this community entrance to life, our team tackled the project step by step:

  • Removed turf in the designated 66′ × 20′ area.
  • Edged new bed lines for definition.
  • Amended soil with 50/50 horticultural mix.
  • Limbed up overhanging trees for more sunlight.
  • Placed one natural boulder as a focal point.
  • Installed a wide selection of shrubs, grasses, and perennials.

The video to the right shows how we cleared the land to make space for the plant bed. Take a look to see just how satisfying the process was!
