Our Mashpee team, formerly known as Briggs Landscape Construction, has built a lasting relationship with this property over many years. What began with a complete redesign of the front entry — walkway, steps, and garden beds — grew to include a full backyard patio transformation and an ongoing year-round maintenance partnership. The result is a landscape that looks intentional in June and January alike.
Imagine this: It’s a Saturday evening in late June. The driveway is full, the back door is propped open, and somewhere between the kitchen and the patio, the party has found its way outside. Four chairs are pulled up around the fire.
Earlier that morning, the same patio was something else entirely — just the homeowner, a cup of coffee, and the sound of the neighborhood waking up. No guests, no occasion. Just the quiet that a well-designed outdoor space knows how to hold. That’s what this project was always about. Not just a backyard, and not just a front walkway — though both were built with the kind of care that shows. It was about creating a property that could do two things at once: host guests, and offer a genuine escape.
Our Mashpee team, formerly known as Briggs Landscape Construction, has been caring for this Dennis, MA residence. From the paver walkway with granite steps in the front entry to the patio and custom stone fire feature out back — and every season of maintenance in between — this is a property that has been shaped slowly, thoughtfully, and with a lot of intention.
This is the kind of place that always looks like someone cares. Because someone does.
This backyard had one goal: give the homeowners a place to host guests with ease, and a place to exhale at the end of the day.
The large-format concrete pavers in a warm gray tone create a generous, open surface that handles a crowd without feeling hard or sterile. The custom stone fire pit table — built with a stacked granite base and a smooth granite cap — acts as an anchor for the space, drawing chairs and conversation inward.
Blue glass fire in the burner catches light during the day and glows with a coastal warmth once the sun drops. It’s a detail that reads as effortless but required careful specification to achieve.
