We’re featuring one of our recently completed backyard transformations in Hingham, Massachusetts. This project included a full pool patio installation, custom brick walkway, accessibility upgrades, and complete landscape restoration. The goal was to create a beautiful, functional outdoor space that blends seamlessly into the existing yard while providing the homeowners with a place to relax, entertain, and enjoy for years to come.
Scope of Work
Our team began at the pool, where we installed a brand-new bluestone coping to define the pool’s edge. We ensured the coping was perfectly aligned and securely set around the entire perimeter.
From there, we built a spacious pool patio, starting with excavation and preparation of a compacted gravel base. Once the foundation was ready, the client’s pavers were carefully laid and cut to fit around pool skimmers and covers. The patio was finished with polymeric sand and concrete edging for a long-lasting, polished surface.
We also installed a custom brick walkway leading from the back deck to the patio, providing an additional access point and enhancing the flow of the space. To complete the landscape restoration, approximately 30 yards of loam were installed and graded throughout the yard, followed by hydroseeding to encourage new, healthy lawn growth.
Accessibility Features
Accessibility was an important focus for this project. Our team installed a Triton Chairlift, mounted on a reinforced concrete sonotube and footing to ensure stability and ease of use. A pool handrail was also added to the patio to provide safe entry and exit from the pool. These features were integrated seamlessly into the design, creating a comfortable and inclusive outdoor environment for the homeowners and their guests.
